Job Title: Production Officer

Location: Lagos

Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

Execute daily production plans in line with approved schedules and output targets.

Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Ensure correct use of raw materials and packaging materials to minimize waste.

Record production output, downtime, and variances accurately.

Ensure compliance with products safety, GMP, and hygiene standards on the production floor.

Supervise production operators and casual staff during production time.

Allocate tasks, monitor attendance, and enforce discipline on the production floor.

Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce downtime.

Complete daily production reports, shift handover notes, and material usage records.

Maintain accurate production documentation for audit and traceability purposes.

Enforce health and safety rules and ensure proper use of PPE.

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized production environment at all times.

Requirements

• HND/BSc in Industrial Chemist or a related discipline.
• 2–3 years’ experience in a production or manufacturing role, preferably in FMCG.
• Experience working on factory production lines is an added advantage.

Skills and Knowledge:

• Good understanding of production processes and factory operations.
• Basic knowledge of GMP and hygiene standards.
• Strong attention to detail and process discipline.
• Ability to supervise and coordinate shop-floor staff.
• Good communication and reporting skills.
• Willingness to work in a factory environment.
