Maintenance / Facility Supervisor

Job Summary
- The Maintenance Supervisor manages the daily activities of the maintenance department, ensuring that all machinery, equipment, and facilities are maintained in safe and efficient working condition.
- This role supervises maintenance staff, schedules maintenance work, ensures compliance with safety regulations, and supports continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the work of maintenance technicians and contractors.
- Plan and schedule preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
- Inspect equipment and facilities to identify maintenance needs.
- Ensure timely repair of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
- Maintain maintenance records, work orders, and equipment history.
- Monitor inventory of spare parts, tools, and maintenance supplies.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate maintenance personnel.
- Coordinate with production or operations teams to minimize equipment downtime.
- Assist in preparing maintenance budgets and controlling maintenance costs.
- Investigate equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
- Recommend improvements to enhance equipment reliability and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of maintenance experience, including supervisory experience.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read technical drawings, manuals, and schematics.
