Finance Officer

Job Summary
- We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Finance Officer to manage financial records, monitor transactions, prepare reports, support budgeting processes, and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
- The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining the organization's financial health through accurate reporting, effective cash management, and strong internal controls.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure proper documentation of all financial transactions.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and management accounts.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions promptly and accurately.
- Monitor cash flow, bank balances, and daily financial activities.
- Conduct bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Assist in the preparation and monitoring of budgets and financial forecasts.
- Process payroll and ensure statutory deductions are remitted as required.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and company financial policies.
- Support external and internal audit processes by providing accurate financial information and relevant documentation.
- Prepare tax schedules and assist with tax filings and regulatory reporting.
- Monitor expenses and recommend cost-saving measures where necessary.
- Track and report on financial performance indicators.
- Maintain fixed asset registers and inventory records where applicable.
- Identify financial risks and recommend appropriate control measures.
- Perform any other finance and accounting duties assigned by management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- 2-5 years relevant experience in finance, accounting, or auditing.
- Professional certification such as ICAN, ACCA, ACA, ANAN, or part qualification is an added advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software such as Sage, QuickBooks, Odoo, SAP, or related ERP systems.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, taxation, and reconciliation processes.
- Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
