 Job Title: Revenue Officer

Location: Mabushi, Abuja (FCT) 

Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary / Overview

  • The Revenue Officer will support revenue collection, monitoring, reconciliation, and customer engagement activities. This is a field-based role requiring hands-on field experience, regular field visits, and active participation in revenue operations across designated areas of Abuja.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate directly in field-based revenue collection, monitoring, verification, and enforcement activities.
  • Conduct regular field visits across designated areas of Abuja to monitor revenue activities and support collection efforts.
  • Engage directly with customers, businesses, and relevant stakeholders to facilitate compliance with payment obligations.
  • Assist with revenue collection, reconciliation, and transaction verification.
  • Identify, document, and report revenue leakages, irregularities, and areas of non-compliance.
  • Maintain accurate records of field activities, transactions, customer information, and collections.
  • Support the preparation of revenue reports, field reports, and performance analyses.
  • Escalate issues identified during field operations and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
  • Work with team members to achieve assigned revenue and operational targets.
  • Ensure all field activities are conducted in line with organizational policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Age: 24–28 years.
  • 2-3 years Experience.
  • Education: HND or B.Sc. in Banking and Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Field Experience: Candidates must have hands-on field experience, preferably in revenue collection, field operations, customer engagement, sales, compliance, inspection, or a related function.
  • Must be familiar with Abuja and able to navigate its major districts, communities, and key locations.
  • Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic knowledge of revenue collection, financial transactions, or accounting processes is an added advantage.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.

  • Ability and willingness to carry out hands-on field activities as a core part of the job.
  • Ability to work effectively across different locations and environments in Abuja.

  • Good reporting, documentation, and record-keeping skills.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies or irregularities.

Additional Requirements:

  • Willingness to spend significant time in the field and actively participate in field operations.
  • Ability to navigate and operate effectively across different areas of Abuja.
  • Ability to interact professionally with customers, businesses, stakeholders, and members of the public.
  • Candidates who are only interested in an office-based role will not be suitable for this position.
