Description
- Our client is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Procurement Officer with experience in manufacturing especially in plastic manufacturing to join the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and procure raw materials, packaging materials, and other production supplies.
- Identify and negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best prices and terms.
- Prepare purchase orders and monitor deliveries to ensure timely supply.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and supplier databases.
- Work closely with the production and inventory teams to prevent stock shortages.
- Evaluate supplier performance and build strong vendor relationships.
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or HND in Purchasing & Supply, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years' experiencein procurement, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of procurement processes, vendor management, and inventory control.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
