Quality Control Officer
Location: Ikeja, Lagos
Reports to: The General Manager, Operations Manager, or Quality Assurance Manager
Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain service quality across all hotel departments.
- Ensure compliance with the hotel's Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Conduct regular quality inspections of guest rooms, public areas, restaurants, bars, and other facilities.
- Ensure the hotel consistently meets its quality and service standards.
- Evaluate the quality of guest service at all customer touchpoints.
- Monitor guest feedback, complaints, and online reviews.
- Recommend corrective actions to improve guest satisfaction.
- Ensure prompt resolution of guest complaints.
- Ensure all departments comply with hotel policies and procedures.
- Monitor adherence to health, hygiene, and safety regulations.
- Ensure staff maintain proper grooming and professional appearance.
- Verify compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
- Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly quality inspections.
- Perform spot checks on rooms before guest occupancy.
- Inspect food preparation, storage, and service areas.
- Audit departmental performance against established quality standards.
- Identify service quality gaps and training needs.
- Conduct or coordinate quality improvement training sessions.
- Coach staff on customer service excellence and best practices.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement.
- Prepare inspection reports and quality assessment reports.
- Document non-compliance issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Monitor implementation of corrective action plans.
- Submit regular quality performance reports to management.
- Identify operational weaknesses affecting service quality.
- Recommend improvements to hotel procedures and workflows.
- Monitor the effectiveness of implemented improvements.
- Encourage innovation to enhance guest satisfaction.
- Ensure guest rooms and public areas meet cleanliness standards.
- Monitor pest control, waste management, and sanitation practices.
- Verify that safety equipment is functional and accessible.
- Ensure emergency procedures are understood and followed.
- Work closely with Housekeeping, Front Office, Food & Beverage, Maintenance, Security, and other departments.
- Follow up on quality-related issues until they are resolved.
- Promote teamwork to achieve consistent service standards.
- Benchmark hotel performance against industry best practices.
- Support quality certification and accreditation initiatives.
- Recommend strategies to improve operational efficiency and guest satisfaction.
- Monitor key quality indicators and service trends.
Requirements
- Candidates should possess relevant qualifications with 10 years working experiences.
