Physics Teacher
Location: Garki Area 3, Abuja (FCT)

Description / Responsibilities
- We are seeking a passionate, competent and dedicated Physics Teacher to join its academic team.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality Physics instruction and helping students develop strong scientific, analytical, experimental and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging Physics lessons in line with the approved school curriculum.
- Prepare lesson plans, lesson notes, schemes of work, assignments and instructional materials.
- Teach Physics effectively across assigned Senior Secondary School classes.
- Prepare students for internal and external examinations, including WAEC and NECO.
- Conduct and supervise practical Physics experiments in accordance with safety procedures.
- Assess, record and report students' academic progress.
- Explain complex Physics concepts using practical examples, demonstrations and appropriate teaching aids.
- Encourage students to develop scientific thinking, observation and problem-solving skills.
- Maintain effective classroom management and discipline.
- Identify students' learning needs and provide appropriate academic support.
- Participate in staff meetings, examinations, training programmes and school activities.
- Collaborate with other teachers, parents and school management to support students' academic development.
- Perform other duties as may be assigned by the school management.
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree (B.Sc./B.Ed.) in Physics, Physics Education or a related discipline.
- NCE holders with relevant teaching experience may be considered for appropriate roles.
- PGDE, TRCN certification or other recognised teaching qualifications will be an added advantage.
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years' teaching experience in a reputable school.
- Experience teaching Physics at the Senior Secondary School level is preferred.
- Experience preparing students for WAEC, NECO or similar external examinations will be an added advantage.
- Practical laboratory teaching experience will be an advantage.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge and understanding of Physics.
- Excellent teaching and classroom management skills.
- Strong analytical, numerical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to explain complex scientific concepts in a simple and practical manner.
- Good laboratory and experimental skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to motivate and inspire students.
- Good organisational and time-management skills.
- Basic computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to use digital tools and technology to enhance teaching and learning.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

- Must possess good communication and interpersonal skills.

- Must be willing to work in Garki Area 3, Abuja.
