Document and Administrative Support Officer

Location: Lekki, Lagos

Employment Type: Full-time

Department: Administration / Operations

Reports To: Operations Manager / Administrative Manager

Role Summary

  • The Document & Administrative Support Officer is responsible for providing reliable administrative and external support to the business.
  • The role involves the timely submission, collection, and delivery of company documents, including legal and official documents, as well as running business-related errands and liaising with external offices, government agencies, legal institutions, banks, clients, and other stakeholders as required.
  • The ideal candidate should be organized, trustworthy, proactive, physically mobile, and able to handle confidential company documents and assignments with a high level of responsibility and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

  • Submit and collect legal, administrative, and official company documents from relevant offices and institutions.
  • Visit government agencies, courts, banks, legal offices, corporate organizations, and other locations on behalf of the company.
  • Handle routine business errands and external assignments as directed by management.
  • Ensure documents are delivered to the correct recipient and obtain evidence of submission or receipt where applicable.
  • Follow up on submitted documents and provide timely updates on their status.
  • Assist with the collection and delivery of company correspondence, letters, certificates, and other official materials.
  • Liaise professionally with external contacts and provide accurate information as authorized by the company.
  • Maintain proper records of documents submitted, collected, or delivered.
  • Ensure all company documents and information handled are kept confidential and secure.
  • Support the Administrative and Operations teams with routine office tasks when required.
  • Assist with photocopying, scanning, printing, filing, and organization of documents.
  • Keep management informed of any delays, challenges, or issues encountered while carrying out assignments.
  • Manage assigned tasks efficiently and ensure errands are completed within agreed timelines.
  • Perform other administrative and operational duties as may be assigned by management.

  • Accurate and successful submission and collection of documents.
  • Proper documentation and tracking of submitted documents.
  • Timely reporting of assignment status and challenges.
  • Safe and confidential handling of company documents.

  • Compliance with management instructions and company procedures.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • OND, HND, or Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Office Administration, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in administrative support, office operations, dispatch, document handling, or a similar role.
  • Good knowledge of Lagos routes and ability to navigate different locations efficiently.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive documents responsibly.
  • High level of integrity, reliability, and trustworthiness.
  • Ability to work independently and follow instructions accurately.
  • Ability to use Google Maps or other navigation applications.
  • Basic computer literacy and ability to use email, Microsoft Office, and other office tools.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Salary

N100,000 - N150,000 per month.
