About the Role

• Provides dental therapy services within scope, including preventive and basic restorative care, supporting the dental team and promoting oral health.

Responsibilities

• Provide preventive and basic restorative dental care within scope of practice.
• Carry out oral-health education and promotion.
• Support dental practitioners during procedures.
• Maintain accurate dental records and infection-prevention standards.

Requirements

Education:

• A recognised qualification in Dental Therapy (HND or B.Sc in Dental Therapy from an accredited institution).
• Completion of the required one-year  internship and NYSC, or a valid exemption where applicable.

Experience: 

• Minimum of 2 years of post-registration experience in dental therapy.
• Post-registration experience in dental therapy practice.
• Clinical / technical competence appropriate to the role, exercised with appropriate supervision.

Required skills:

• Knowledge of dental therapy practice within scope.
• Competence in preventive and basic restorative procedures.
• Understanding of infection prevention and oral-health promotion.
• Accurate record-keeping.
• Effective communication with patients and the dental team.
