Role Description

• The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a full-time, on-site leadership role based in Abuja, responsible for overseeing the bank’s financial strategy, planning, and performance.
• The CFO will manage budgeting and forecasting processes, ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, and oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements.
• This role includes monitoring liquidity, capital adequacy, and risk exposures, as well as ensuring compliance with regulatory and statutory financial requirements.
• The CFO will partner with the executive team on strategic initiatives, support investor and stakeholder relations, and lead the finance team in developing robust controls, systems, and processes to sustain growth and profitability.

Qualifications

• Professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, or CFA, and a degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field are highly desirable.
• Candidates should possess strong Finance and Financial Planning skills to design and execute short- and long-term financial strategies.
• Candidates should possess expertise in Financial Statements and Financial Reporting to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial information.
• Candidates should possess advanced Analytical Skills to interpret financial data, assess performance, and support data-driven decision-making.
• Significant senior-level experience in banking or financial services, including regulatory compliance and risk management, is strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership ability, team management experience, and excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills are required.
• Experience with mortgage banking, capital markets, and corporate governance practices will be an added advantage.
