Internal Auditor (School)
Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct audits of financial statements, accounting records, and operational processes
- Review internal controls, compliance with policies, and regulatory requirements
- Prepare detailed audit reports and present findings to management
- Recommend improvements to strengthen controls and efficiency
- Support external audits and liaise with auditors
- Monitor payroll, expenditures, and asset management
- Identify potential areas of risk, fraud, or financial mismanagement
- Follow up on management’s implementation of audit recommendations
Requirements
- Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Professional certification preferred (ICAN, ACCA, CPA)
- 4–6 years internal audit experience, preferably in a school or educational environment
- Strong knowledge of internal controls, audit processes, and accounting software.
Compensation and Benefits
