Job Summary
- A Driver is employed to drive the Hotel’s vehicle, deliver or collect goods or mailings.
- Drivers must be able to endure long hours driving, carry out vehicle maintenance checks, and interact with clients in a professional manner.
- They should also practice safety and health regulations to protect themselves and other people on the road.
Key Job Roles
- Transporting guests from one place to the other (e.g., from airports to hotels and vice versa).
- Carrying out vehicle maintenance checks and ensuring that vehicles have sufficient gas and are always ready for use.
- Delivering packages to customers in a timely manner.
- Picking up office purchases or handling other administrative transportation needs.
- Utilizing navigation apps to find the most optimal route.
- Arranging for vehicle repairs when necessary.
- Updating monthly mileage records.
- Interacting with guests in a professional manner.
- Maintaining an organized travel schedule.
- Working at night and on weekends as required.
Job Requirements
- Proven experience as a Driver with a valid driver’s license.
- Must have passed all Lagos State drivers' tests and possess a clean driving record.
- Minimum visual acuity of 20/50 (or corrected to 20/50).
- Minimum 5 years
- Candidates living within Ikeja have an advantage
- Familiarity with GPS devices and strong knowledge of area roads and neighborhoods.
- Physical strength and stamina to lift heavy packages and luggage.
- Availability to occasionally take weekend and night shifts.
- Core Attributes: Professionalism, dependability, stress tolerance, verbal communication, excellent customer service, and a polite, calm disposition in traffic.
