Job Description
- Lily Hospitals is seeking a skilled, compassionate, and patient-focused Dentist to join our clinical team.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, preventing, and treating oral diseases while providing high-quality dental care and promoting excellent oral health for patients.
Responsibilities
- Examine patients to assess their oral health and diagnose dental conditions.
- Develop and implement appropriate treatment plans.
- Perform routine and advanced dental procedures, including fillings, extractions, root canal treatments, scaling and polishing, crowns, bridges, and other restorative procedures.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and preventive dental care.
- Interpret dental X-rays and other diagnostic tests.
- Maintain accurate patient records and treatment documentation.
- Prescribe medications when necessary and monitor patient recovery.
- Adhere to infection prevention and control protocols.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Ensure compliance with professional, ethical, and regulatory standards.
Education
- Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) or Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from a recognized institution.
- Valid practicing licence with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).
- Evidence of current Annual Practising Licence.
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years post-qualification clinical experience in a reputable hospital or dental clinic.
- Experience in restorative, preventive, and emergency dental care is an added advantage.
- Experience using electronic medical records (EMR) systems is an added advantage.

- Excellent customer service orientation.
- Strong ethical standards and integrity.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays when required.
- Must possess a valid practising licence.
- Good knowledge of infection prevention and control practices.
