Accountant

Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, ledgers, and reconciliations.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to support client decision-making.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management activities.
- Assist with tax computations, statutory filings, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Participate in financial due diligence, audit support, and advisory engagements.
- Review accounting records and identify areas for process improvement.
- Prepare management reports and presentations for clients and stakeholders.
- Liaise with clients, regulatory bodies, auditors, and other external stakeholders.
- Support the implementation and improvement of financial controls and governance processes.
- Travel to client sites within Nigeria and internationally as required.
Requirements Essential
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline with a minimum of Second Class Upper (2:1).
- 2–6 years of relevant accounting, audit, finance, or consulting experience.
- ICAN qualified or actively pursuing ICAN certification.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently within and outside Nigeria. Desirable
- Experience in a professional services, consulting, audit, or advisory environment.
- Knowledge of IFRS and Nigerian tax regulations.
- Experience using accounting software and ERP systems.
- ACA qualification or advanced stage of ICAN certification
