IT Officer
Location: Uyo, Akwa Ibom
Job type: Full-time
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Assess and recommend new technologies to drive efficiency and productivity.
- Install, configure, and maintain IT systems, equipment, and applications.
- Monitor system performance and ensure reliable backup and recovery processes.
- Implement and maintain IT security protocols, firewalls, and antivirus protection.
- Maintain IT documentation, asset inventory, and user access records.
- Troubleshoot and resolve user-reported IT incidents in a timely manner.
- Support staff onboarding and training on IT tools and systems.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar IT Officer role in a financial institution
- Must be based in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State
Skills:
- Proficiency in operating systems, networking, and hardware troubleshooting.
- Experience with cybersecurity tools, data backup systems, and cloud technologies is an advantage.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Cisco CCNA are added advantages.
- Strong critical thinking and analytical skills
