HR Executive - Retail Sector

Location: Lekki, Lagos

Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • The HR Executive is responsible for supporting the day-to-day human resources operations of the organization, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, learning and development, HR administration, and compliance.
  • The role ensures efficient implementation of HR policies and practices while contributing to employee engagement and organizational effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

Recruitment & Onboarding:

  • Coordinate end-to-end recruitment activities, including job postings, candidate sourcing, screening, interviews, and selection.
  • Facilitate employee onboarding and induction processes.
  • Prepare employment documentation, including offer letters, contracts, and onboarding documents.
  • Maintain recruitment records and talent databases.

HR Operations & Administration:

  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.
  • Manage employee data within HR information systems.
  • Support payroll administration by providing employee-related information and updates.
  • Process employee confirmations, transfers, promotions, and exits.

Employee Relations:

  • Serve as a first point of contact for employee inquiries and HR-related concerns.
  • Support grievance handling and disciplinary processes in line with company policies.
  • Promote a positive work environment and employee engagement initiatives.

Performance Management:

  • Coordinate performance appraisal activities and documentation.
  • Track performance review timelines and support managers in the evaluation process.
  • Assist in implementing performance improvement plans where required.

Learning & Development:

  • Coordinate training programs and learning interventions.
  • Maintain training records and evaluate training effectiveness.
  • Support competency development and career growth initiatives.

HR Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with labour laws, company policies, and HR procedures.
  • Assist in policy development, review, and communication.
  • Support HR audits and compliance reporting activities.

Reporting & Analytics:

  • Prepare periodic HR reports and workforce metrics.
  • Monitor HR KPIs including recruitment, turnover, attendance, and employee engagement.
  • Provide HR data and insights to support management decision-making.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Professional certification such as CIPM, SHRM, HRCI, or equivalent is an advantage.
  • 5+ years of relevant HR experience.
  • Knowledge of Nigerian labour laws and HR best practices.

Salary

N500,000 per month.
