Field & Compliance Officer (Preferably Men)

Job Description​​​​​​​

  • The Field & Compliance Officer will be responsible for overseeing field operations, monitoring project implementation, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements, and supporting stakeholder engagement activities.
  • The ideal candidate should be proactive, detail-oriented, and willing to travel extensively to project locations across Nigeria.

Responsibilities

  • The Field & Compliance Officer will be responsible for overseeing field operations, monitoring project implementation, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements, and supporting stakeholder engagement activities.
  • The ideal candidate should be proactive, detail-oriented, and willing to travel extensively to project locations across Nigeria.

Key Responsibilities

Field Operations:

  • Coordinate and monitor field activities and project implementation.
  • Conduct regular visits to project sites, communities, and partner locations.
  • Support training, sensitization, and outreach activities for women farmers and stakeholders.
  • Collect, verify, and report field data accurately and promptly.
  • Monitor project progress and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Liaise with community leaders, farmer groups, and local partners.

Compliance and Monitoring:

  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, donor requirements, and relevant regulations.
  • Conduct routine compliance checks and field audits.
  • Maintain proper documentation and records of field activities.
  • Identify operational and compliance risks and recommend corrective actions.
  • Prepare compliance reports and submit findings to management.
  • Support monitoring and evaluation activities.

Reporting and Documentation:

  • Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly field reports.
  • Maintain accurate records of beneficiaries, activities, and project outcomes.
  • Document success stories, challenges, and lessons learned from the field.
  • Assist in developing operational procedures and compliance guidelines.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agricultural Extension, Rural Development, Social Sciences, Development Studies, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years experience in field operations, compliance, project monitoring, or community development.
  • Experience working with agricultural projects, mechanization equipment or rural communities is an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of compliance, reporting, and documentation processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • The successful candidate must be willing and able to travel frequently to project locations and rural communities across Nigeria as required.
