Job Description
- The Field & Compliance Officer will be responsible for overseeing field operations, monitoring project implementation, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements, and supporting stakeholder engagement activities.
- The ideal candidate should be proactive, detail-oriented, and willing to travel extensively to project locations across Nigeria.
Responsibilities
- The Field & Compliance Officer will be responsible for overseeing field operations, monitoring project implementation, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements, and supporting stakeholder engagement activities.
- The ideal candidate should be proactive, detail-oriented, and willing to travel extensively to project locations across Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities
Field Operations:
- Coordinate and monitor field activities and project implementation.
- Conduct regular visits to project sites, communities, and partner locations.
- Support training, sensitization, and outreach activities for women farmers and stakeholders.
- Collect, verify, and report field data accurately and promptly.
- Monitor project progress and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Liaise with community leaders, farmer groups, and local partners.
Compliance and Monitoring:
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, donor requirements, and relevant regulations.
- Conduct routine compliance checks and field audits.
- Maintain proper documentation and records of field activities.
- Identify operational and compliance risks and recommend corrective actions.
- Prepare compliance reports and submit findings to management.
- Support monitoring and evaluation activities.
Reporting and Documentation:
- Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly field reports.
- Maintain accurate records of beneficiaries, activities, and project outcomes.
- Document success stories, challenges, and lessons learned from the field.
- Assist in developing operational procedures and compliance guidelines.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agricultural Extension, Rural Development, Social Sciences, Development Studies, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years experience in field operations, compliance, project monitoring, or community development.
- Experience working with agricultural projects, mechanization equipment or rural communities is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of compliance, reporting, and documentation processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
