Job Objective
- We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Pharmacist Intern to join our pharmacy team in Epe, Lagos.
- The successful candidate will work under the supervision of licensed pharmacists, gaining hands-on experience in pharmaceutical care, medication dispensing, inventory management, and patient counseling while contributing to the delivery of quality healthcare services.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in dispensing prescription and over-the-counter medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Support patient counseling by providing basic information on medication usage, dosage, storage, and possible side effects.
- Help maintain accurate records of prescriptions, patient information, and pharmacy transactions.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with stock management, including receiving, shelving, and tracking pharmaceutical products.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of medications in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Assist in conducting medication audits and inventory reconciliations.
- Support the implementation of pharmacy policies, procedures, and quality assurance measures.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety within the pharmacy environment.
- Participate in health promotion and patient education initiatives as directed.
- Perform other pharmacy-related duties assigned by the supervising pharmacist.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D) degree from a recognized institution.
- Must be currently undergoing or eligible for internship training.
- Provisional registration with the relevant regulatory body is an added advantage.
- Good understanding of pharmaceutical principles and medication management.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is an added advantage.
- Ability to work effectively within a team and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
