Job Summary
- We are looking for an accountant who will support the day-to-day financial operations of our retail business by maintaining accurate records, reconciling daily sales, and tracking inventory
Responsibilities
- Reconcile daily sales and cashier records, matching cash, POS, and transfer transactions across all terminals.
- Work with the store and inventory teams to track stock levels, monitor shrinkage, and post inventory adjustments to the ledger.
- Maintain accurate vendor and supplier accounts, process invoices, and track payments due.
- Post daily accounting entries, manage petty cash, and assist in preparing balance sheets and income statements.
- Generate weekly and monthly sales, expense, and profit reports for supermarket management.
Requirements
- HND / B.Sc Degree in Accounting, or Finance
- 2-3 years of hands-on accounting or bookkeeping experience, ideally in the retail or supermarket industry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (mandatory) and basic accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Zoho, SAP).
- High attention to detail, numerical aptitude, and strong problem-solving skills.
Salary
N80,000 monthly.
