Job Summary
- We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Accountant to join our client's fast-growing fintech startup.
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing reports, ensuring regulatory compliance, monitoring transactions, and supporting strategic financial decision-making in a dynamic technology-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records and bookkeeping activities
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Manage accounts payable and receivable
- Reconcile bank statements and financial transactions
- Monitor cash flow and budgeting processes
- Support payroll administration and tax compliance
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies
- Assist with audits and statutory reporting
- Prepare financial analysis to support business decisions
- Collaborate with operations and management teams to improve financial efficiency
- Monitor fintech transactions and identify discrepancies or risks
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Professional certification (ACA, ACCA, ICAN or equivalent) is an added advantage
- Minimum of 2–3years’ accounting experience (startup or fintech experience preferred)
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Strong understanding of financial reporting and compliance requirements
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- High level of integrity and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with fintech/payment systems
- Knowledge of financial controls and digital transactions
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Salary
N200,000 - N400,000 per month.
