Key Responsibilities
Strategic Financial Leadership:
- Develop and execute financial strategies that align with our business goals.
- Drive strategic decision - making by providing actionable financial insights to the executive team
Operational Excellence:
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Optimize cash flow management
- Lead initiatives to improve operational efficiency, reducing cost overruns and maximizing profitability.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Mentor and manage the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and high performance.
- Encourage professional development and create succession plans to support the evolving needs of the business.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Liaise with external partners, including banks, investors, and auditors, to build and maintain strong relationships.
- Present financial performance reports and strategic recommendations to senior management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or professional accounting qualification (e.g., ICAN, ACCA, CPA) is highly preferred.
- 5 - 10 years of progressive experience in finance, with at least 3 - 5 years in a senior management role.
- Proven track record of strategic financial leadership and operational excellence in a fast - paced, growth - oriented environment.
- In - depth knowledge of financial regulations, risk management, and compliance standards in Nigeria.
- Strong analytical, decision - making, and communication skills.
- Experience in leading high - performing teams and driving organizational change.
- Proficiency in financial software; advanced Excel skills required.
