Station Cashier
Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Job Summary
- We are looking for a Station Cashier for our Port Harcourt Station who will be responsible for handling customer payments, maintaining accurate sales records, reconciling daily transactions, and ensuring efficient cash management at the station.
- The role also involves delivering excellent customer service while complying with the company’s operational and financial procedures.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Cash Handling & Financial Transactions:
- Receive and process payments for fuel, lubricants, and other station products through cash, POS, and bank transfers.
- Issue receipts and ensure accurate billing for all transactions.
- Maintain proper accountability of cash received during each shift.
- Balance cash collections and reconcile transactions at the end of each shift.
Sales Recording & Reconciliation:
- Accurately record daily sales transactions.
- Reconcile fuel sales, cash, POS receipts, and transfers daily.
- Prepare and submit daily sales and reconciliation reports to management.
- Report shortages, overages, or suspicious transactions immediately.
Customer Service:
- Attend to customers professionally and courteously.
- Address customer inquiries and escalate complaints where necessary.
- Ensure customers are attended to promptly to maintain efficient service delivery.
Qualifications
- Minimum of HND, BSc.
- Previous experience as a cashier or in a retail/service environment is an added advantage.
