Role Summary
Huawei Nigeria is seeking a Senior Tax Specialist to manage tax compliance activities within a defined business domain, ensure accuracy of tax processes, and support tax planning, audits, and regulatory reporting within the organisation.
Main Responsibilities
• Handle tax compliance activities within assigned domain and ensure accuracy
• Manage front-end tax data and process compliance using internal systems
• Interpret tax policies and provide advisory input
• Support tax compliance solutions for new business scenarios and policy changes
• Assist with tax audits, risk management, and tax planning activities
• Improve tax processes through best practices and system enhancements
• Respond to regulatory and tax authority inquiries
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
• 5+ years’ experience in tax-related roles (Big Four or large corporate experience preferred)
• Strong knowledge of tax compliance, tax accounting, and tax filings (direct and indirect taxes)
• Experience interpreting tax laws and analysing financial statements
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Leadership and team management ability
• Fluent in English
