Hotel Maintenance Personnel

Location: Berger, Lagos

Employment Type: Full-time

Reports To: Maintenance Supervisor / Operations Manager

Job Summary

  • The Hotel Maintenance Personnel is responsible for ensuring that all hotel facilities, equipment, and systems are maintained in excellent working condition.
  • This role involves performing routine inspections, preventive maintenance, repairs, and responding promptly to maintenance requests to ensure guest comfort, safety, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine inspections of hotel facilities, guest rooms, public areas, and equipment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
  • Diagnose and repair maintenance issues in guest rooms and common areas.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repair situations.
  • Repair and maintain furniture, fixtures, doors, windows, locks, and other hotel property.
  • Monitor and maintain water, power, air conditioning, and generator systems.
  • Ensure all maintenance work complies with health, safety, and hotel standards.
  • Keep maintenance tools, equipment, and work areas clean and organized.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities.
  • Assist with renovations, installations, and facility improvement projects.
  • Coordinate with external contractors and service providers when necessary.
  • Report major maintenance issues and equipment failures to management.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Minimum of SSCE, OND, Trade Test Certificate, or equivalent qualification.
  • Previous experience in hotel maintenance, facility maintenance, or a similar role is an advantage.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, AC.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues efficiently.
  • Good physical fitness and ability to perform manual tasks.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays when required.
