Job Summary
- To provide pharmaceutical care services by dispensing medications, educating patients on proper medication use, monitoring drug therapy, and ensuring compliance with professional and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Dispense prescribed medications accurately and efficiently.
- Review prescriptions for appropriateness, dosage, and potential drug interactions.
- Counsel patients on medication use, side effects, storage, and adherence.
- Maintain accurate patient medication records.
- Monitor patient responses to medications and provide recommendations when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with pharmacy laws, regulations, and ethical standards.
- Manage inventory, stock levels, and medication storage conditions.
- Collaborate with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.
- Participate in health promotion activities such as screenings, immunizations, and medication therapy management.
- Handle patient inquiries and provide drug information.
Requirements
- Degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm, PharmD, or equivalent).
- Valid professional license to practice.
- Strong knowledge of pharmacology and medication management.
- Excellent communication and patient counseling skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
- Proficiency in pharmacy management systems and record keeping.
