Job Description:
- Our client, a growing brand in the retail fashion space, is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Fashion Designer to join their team.
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing original fashion concepts, translating ideas into commercially viable designs, and collaborating with production teams to bring collections to life.
- This role is perfect for someone with a strong eye for style, current fashion trends, and garment construction
Key Responsibilities
- Develop original fashion concepts aligned with the brand’s identity and target audience.
- Create mood boards, sketches, and technical drawings for collections.
- Select fabrics, trims, colors, and embellishments for designs.
- Collaborate with production teams to ensure quality standards are met.
- Refine and finalize designs based on feedback, market trends, and production needs.
- Monitor industry trends, competitor offerings, and customer preferences.
- Participate in fittings and oversee garment development from prototype to production.
- Ensure timely execution of designs in line with collection timelines.
- Maintain organized records of designs, patterns, and samples.
- Work closely with marketing and sales teams to support commercial objectives.
- Support styling for campaigns, lookbooks, and brand presentations when required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in fashion design, preferably within a ready-to-wear fashion.
- Strong illustration, sketching, and CAD skills (e.g., Adobe Illustrator).
- Good understanding of garment construction, pattern making, and textiles.
- Up-to-date knowledge of current fashion trends and seasonal palettes.
- Excellent attention to detail and creativity.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Salary
N400,000 - N600,000 per month.
