JOB DESCRIPTION – KITCHEN MANAGER

Salary: ₦350,000 – ₦380,000 Monthly (Negotiable based on experience)
JOB SUMMARY
HRLeverage Africa is recruiting for an experienced and detail-oriented Kitchen Manager for its client, a catering company. The ideal candidate will oversee daily kitchen and catering operations, ensure food quality and hygiene compliance, manage kitchen staff, and drive operational efficiency and cost control.
*KEY RESPONSIBILITIES*
- Supervise daily kitchen and catering operations
- Ensure meals meet approved quality, taste, and presentation standards
- Manage kitchen staff schedules, training, and performance
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards
- Monitor inventory and ensure proper stock control (FIFO)
- Reduce wastage and track kitchen costs and expenses
- Prepare operational reports and support budget management
- Handle food-related complaints and ensure customer satisfaction
- Ensure timely preparation and delivery of catering orders
- Maintain kitchen equipment and utilities
*REQUIREMENTS*
- Degree/Diploma in Hospitality, Catering, Culinary Arts or related field
- 3–5 years’ experience in kitchen or catering operations
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
- Good organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure
- Experience in inventory and cost control
