Procurement Officer

Job Summary
- This is not an entry-level inventory job. We are hiring a heavily experienced strategic sourcing expert who already knows the Lagos retail market inside out.
- As our Procurement Officer, you will have total ownership of our commercial margins, supplier networks, and shelf availability. You must possess deep, proven supermarket expertise and an aggressive, professional negotiation style.
What You Will Do
- Leverage Sourcing Networks: Immediately tap into existing manufacturer and major distributor networks to stock our shelves.
- Aggressive Margin Management: Negotiate industry-best credit terms, volume rebates, and rock-bottom pricing.
- Demand Forecasting: Utilize data to predict inventory velocity and eliminate both overstocking and out-of-stock scenarios.
- Cold Chain & Fresh Sourcing: Establish reliable pipelines for perishables, groceries, and fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG).
- Process Architecture: Build a flawless, transparent vendor onboarding and purchase order workflow from scratch.
What We Are Looking For
- Candidates should possess an HND / OND / NCE / B.Sc Degree with 2 - 5 years work experience
- Heavyweight Supermarket Experience: Multi-year track record specifically leading procurement within established supermarkets or mega-retail chains.
- An Active Vendor Rolodex: Immediate, direct access to top FMCG wholesalers, major distributors, and factories across Lagos.
- Master Negotiator: Proven ability to slash procurement costs and secure premium payment windows.
- Advanced Retail Tech Skills: High proficiency in modern supermarket POS systems, advanced Excel data analysis, and ERP software.
- Proximity: Residing in Abule-Egba, Agege, Iyana Ipaja, Kola, Egbeda, Dopemu, Idimu, or immediate environs is strictly preferred.
