The Senior Project Engineer is responsible for overseeing mechanical installation, construction quality control, and compliance activities for onshore oil & gas pipeline projects in Nigeria.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervise pipeline mechanical works including stringing, bending, welding, coating, lowering, and tie-ins
Ensure installation complies with approved drawings, specifications, and method statements
Review pipeline alignment sheets, isometrics, and P&IDs
Monitor ROW (Right of Way) activities related to mechanical scope
Support hydrotesting, pigging, and dewatering operations
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
COREN registration (preferred)
QA/QC certifications (CSWIP, ASNT, ISO 9001 Lead Auditor) are an advantage.
EXPERIENCE
8-12 years in oil & gas as a Project Engineer, Piping Engineer or QA/QC Welding Engineer.
Strong experience in onshore pipeline construction in Nigeria
Experience working with EPC contractors or operators
SKILLS
Strong pipeline construction knowledge
Solid QA/QC documentation and inspection skills
Ability to interpret technical drawings and standards
Good stakeholder and contractor management
