Legal Associate (Compliance-Focused)

Description
- We are seeking a smart, commercially minded, and detail-oriented Legal Associate with strong compliance experience to join its growing team.
- The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of corporate and regulatory compliance advisory, with the ability to provide practical legal solutions to clients across various sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide legal and regulatory compliance advisory services to clients
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements and legal documents
- Conduct legal research and prepare legal opinions
- Advise clients on corporate governance and regulatory obligations
- Support company secretarial and compliance functions
- Monitor regulatory developments and ensure client compliance
- Liaise with regulatory agencies where required
- Assist with corporate transactions and due diligence exercises.
Requirements
- LL.B and BL qualifications with a minimum of 5 years post-call experience
- Strong experience in compliance and corporate advisory work
- Excellent drafting, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Commercial awareness and attention to detail
- Prior experience in a law firm or corporate advisory environment is highly preferred
Preferred Candidate Profile:
- Strong compliance and regulatory advisory background
- Experience advising businesses across multiple industries
- Proactive, professional, and solution-oriented
- Litigation experience is not required
Salary
N400,000 – N500,000 monthly (depending on experience)
