Restaurant Auditor

Job Summary
- We are looking for a driven, experienced Restaurant Auditor to own quality and compliance across our restaurant and lounge operations.
- You will not just inspect; you will build the systems, set the standards, lead the people, and make sure everything runs the way it should, every single time.
Responsibilities
Operational Auditing:
- Conduct scheduled and surprise audits across all restaurant and lounge operations — front-of-house, back-of-house, kitchen, and bar.
- Evaluate food safety, hygiene, portion control, wastage, stock rotation, and inventory management.
- Audit financial controls, including cash handling, POS reconciliation, and daily revenue reporting.
- Identify operational inefficiencies and deliver clear, prioritized corrective action plans.
SOP Development, Implementation & Compliance:
- Design and document comprehensive SOPs across all restaurant and lounge functions.
- Establish service standards, quality benchmarks, and performance metrics aligned with industry’s best practices.
- Actively monitor and enforce SOP adherence through regular audits and real-time floor observations.
- Ensure that no standard is theoretical — every SOP must be visible, understood, and consistently followed on the ground.
Team Training, Coaching & Skills Development:
- Lead onboarding and ongoing training of restaurant and lounge staff on all quality, hygiene, and service standards.
- Identify skills gaps across teams and develop targeted training plans to close them.
- Coach team leads and supervisors to enforce standards independently and build a culture of accountability.
- Ensure all staff certifications and food safety training are current and documented.
HSE Compliance:
- Conduct regular HSE audits covering kitchen equipment safety, fire safety, chemical handling, and emergency procedures.
- Ensure full compliance with NAFDAC guidelines, applicable health regulations, and all relevant local authority requirements.
- Maintain HSE records, including inspection logs, incident reports, and corrective action registers.
Reporting:
- Prepare detailed audit reports with findings, risk ratings, and action plans for senior management.
- Maintain a live tracker of audit scores, corrective actions, and resolution status across all touchpoints.
What You Bring
- 4+ years in auditing or operations in hospitality / food service
- Experience in training and managing frontline teams
- Fast Service Restaurant experience is a strong advantage
- Relevant credentials: ISO 22000, HACCP, City & Guilds, NEBOSH, ISPON is an advantage
- Strong grasp of food safety, HACCP, and HSE principles
- Self-driven, detail-oriented, confident in leading people
- Proven track record in building and enforcing SOPs
- Strong report writing and communication skills.
