Assistant Human Resources (HR) Manager
Location: Eti-osa, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract qualified candidates
- Oversee end-to-end recruitment and selection processes
- Manage onboarding and induction programs for new hires
- Support departmental workforce planning initiatives
- Serve as a point of contact for employee concerns and conflict resolution
- Foster a positive work environment and organizational culture
- Design and implement employee engagement initiatives
- Coordinate disciplinary procedures in line with company policy
- Develop and manage performance appraisal systems
- Support managers in setting KPIs and conducting evaluations
- Drive performance improvement plans where necessary
- Identify training needs and implement development programs
- Develop and maintain the annual training calendar
- Monitor effectiveness of training initiatives
- Oversee payroll coordination and ensure accuracy
- Manage employee benefits programs
- Conduct salary benchmarking and compensation reviews
- Develop, review, and implement HR policies and procedures
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulatory requirements
- Maintain proper HR documentation and records
- Maintain employee records and HR systems
- Prepare HR reports and analytics for management decision-making
- Oversee exit management processes (resignations, terminations)
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- Professional certification (e.g., CIPM, SHRM, HRCI) is required
- Minimum of 3 years’ professional experience
- Strong knowledge of HR best practices and labor laws
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- High level of discretion and integrity
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
- Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
