Summary
- We are seeking a qualified and experienced Pharmacist to manage the safe and effective dispensing of medications, provide pharmaceutical care, and ensure compliance with all regulatory and professional standards.
- The Pharmacist will play a key role in optimizing patient outcomes and supporting overall healthcare delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and dispense prescriptions accurately in accordance with physician orders
- Ensure safe use of medications through proper dosage verification and counseling
- Provide drug information and advice to patients and healthcare professionals
- Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff
- Maintain proper inventory control and ensure availability of essential medicines
- Monitor drug storage conditions and expiry management
- Ensure compliance with all pharmacy laws, regulations, and ethical standards
- Maintain accurate patient medication records and documentation
- Participate in clinical review and medication therapy management when required.
Requirements / Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm or equivalent)
- Valid practicing license/registration with the appropriate regulatory body
- Strong knowledge of pharmacology, drug interactions, and therapeutic uses
- Excellent communication and patient counseling skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong ethical judgment and professionalism
- Good leadership and supervisory skills
- Proficiency in computer and pharmacy management software is an advantage.
Experience:
- Entry-level Pharmacist: Internship/NYSC or 0–1 year post-qualification experience
- Experienced Pharmacist: 2–5+ years in community or hospital pharmacy
- Managerial roles: Prior supervisory or hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
Other Requirements:
- Must be licensed and in good standing with the relevant regulatory authority
- Ability to work under pressure in a clinical or retail environment
- Strong sense of responsibility, integrity, and confidentiality
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends, or public holidays if required
- Commitment to continuous professional development.
