Job Summary
- We are seeking a qualified and skilled Radiographer to join our healthcare team.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging examinations, ensuring patient safety during imaging procedures, and producing high-quality images to assist physicians in accurate diagnosis and treatment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures such as X-ray imaging, ultrasound scans where applicable.
- Prepare patients for imaging procedures and explain processes to ensure comfort and cooperation.
- Position patients correctly to obtain accurate diagnostic images.
- Operate and maintain radiographic equipment safely and efficiently.
- Ensure strict adherence to radiation safety standards to protect patients, staff, and self.
- Review images for quality and ensure they are suitable for diagnostic interpretation.
- Work closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to support patient diagnosis and care.
- Maintain accurate records of imaging procedures and patient data.
- Ensure imaging equipment is regularly checked and maintained.
Requirements
- Degree in Radiography / Medical Imaging.
- Valid practicing license from the Radiographers Registration Board of Nigeria (RRBN).
- Strong knowledge of diagnostic imaging procedures and radiation safety.
- Good technical and patient care skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a healthcare team.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1–3 years of experience in a hospital or diagnostic center and completion of internship and NYSC.
- Experience with multiple imaging modalities such as CT scans, ultrasound etc.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
