Mechanical Engineer
Location: Abuja (FCT)
Job Summary
- Adkan Services Nigeria Limited is seeking a competent and experienced Mechanical Engineer to design, supervise, and manage mechanical systems within construction and engineering projects.
- The ideal candidate will ensure efficient system performance, compliance with standards, and successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and oversee installation of mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, etc.)
- Prepare mechanical drawings, specifications, and technical reports
- Review project designs to ensure feasibility and compliance with standards
- Supervise on-site mechanical works and ensure adherence to design specifications
- Conduct inspections, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues during project execution
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and engineering standards
- Collaborate with structural, electrical, and project teams
- Monitor project timelines and provide progress reports.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (B.Sc./HND) in Mechanical Engineering or related fields
- Minimum of 4–6 years’ experience in mechanical engineering within construction or related industry
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and building services
- Proficiency in engineering design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit MEP, or similar tools)
- Good understanding of installation, testing, and maintenance procedures
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional registration or membership (e.g., COREN, NSE)
- Experience working on residential, commercial, or industrial projects
- Familiarity with Nigerian engineering standards and regulations
- Experience in project supervision and coordination.
