Structural Engineer
Location: Abuja (FCT)
Job Summary
- Adkan Services Nigeria Limited is seeking a skilled and experienced Structural Engineer to design, analyze, and oversee the structural aspects of construction projects.
- The ideal candidate will ensure the safety, stability, and durability of structures while complying with industry standards and project specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and analyze structural components for buildings and infrastructure projects
- Prepare structural drawings, calculations, and specifications
- Review architectural designs to ensure structural integrity and feasibility
- Conduct site inspections and monitor construction to ensure compliance with design specifications
- Perform structural assessments and provide recommendations for improvements or repairs
- Ensure adherence to local building codes, standards, and safety regulations
- Collaborate with architects, quantity surveyors, and other project stakeholders
- Provide technical guidance to site teams and resolve structural issues
- Prepare reports, documentation, and project updates.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree (B.Sc./HND) in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Minimum of 4–6 years’ experience in structural engineering or related field
- Strong knowledge of structural analysis and design principles
- Proficiency in engineering design software (e.g., AutoCAD, ETABS, STAAD Pro, or similar tools)
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and engineering calculations
- Good understanding of construction methods and materials
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional registration or membership (e.g., COREN, NSE)
- Experience working on residential, commercial, or infrastructure projects
- Familiarity with Nigerian building codes and international standards
- Experience in project supervision and site coordination.
