Summary on Software:
ePTW is a specialized SaaS safety compliance platform that digitizes permit-to-work processes in high-risk industries (such as oil & gas, construction, manufacturing, and energy), automating workflows for risk assessment, approvals, isolations, real-time tracking, and regulatory compliance to enhance workplace safety and operational efficiency.
About the Role
We are building/scaling an innovative ePTW SaaS platform that replaces outdated paper-based permit systems with digital workflows, real-time monitoring, mobile approvals, hazard controls, and audit-ready compliance features. As Product Manager, you will own the product vision, roadmap, and execution; driving features that make high-risk work safer, faster, and more compliant for industries where safety is non-negotiable.
Key Responsibilities
As the Product Manager for our ePTW software, you will:
● Define and evolve the product vision and strategy for the ePTW platform, aligning it with customer needs in safety-critical industries (e.g., oil & gas, construction, manufacturing).
● Conduct market research, gather user feedback from safety officers, site managers, contractors, and compliance teams to identify pain points in permit workflows, risk assessments, and approvals.
● Build and prioritize the product roadmap and backlog including features like digital permit creation, multi-level approvals, real-time notifications, conflict detection (SIMOPS), isolation/LOTO integration, mobile access, audit trails, and reporting dashboards.
● Collaborate closely with engineering, design, and development teams to translate requirements into actionable user stories, specs, and MVPs.
● Work with stakeholders (safety experts, customers, sales, and leadership) to ensure the product meets regulatory standards (e.g., OSHA, ISO 45001, industry-specific guidelines) while delivering business value.
● Drive product discovery validate ideas through prototypes, user interviews, and testing to improve adoption, reduce permit delays, and enhance safety outcomes.
● Track key metrics (e.g. user adoption, permit approval time, compliance rates, churn) and iterate based on data and feedback.
● Support go-to-market efforts, including feature launches, pricing input, and customer onboarding materials.
● Stay updated on trends in EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) software, digital transformation of PTW systems, and emerging technologies (e.g., AI for risk prediction).
● Communicate progress and trade-offs clearly to technical & non-technical stakeholders
Requirements
● 3+ years of experience as a Product Manager (ideally in SaaS, B2B software, or safety/compliance/EHS tools).
● Strong understanding of product lifecycle in SaaS environments (roadmapping, prioritization frameworks like RICE/ICE, Agile/Scrum).
● Experience working with complex workflows, enterprise users, or regulated industries (safety, compliance, oil & gas, construction).
● Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; you can bridge technical teams and non-technical users (safety managers).
● Analytical mindset with experience using data/tools for decision-making (analytics, user feedback platforms).
● Familiarity with UX principles and tools (Figma, Miro) for prototyping workflows.
● Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable in a remote, fast-paced startup-like environment.
