Nursing Associate (Paediatrics)

Location: Warri, Delta

Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • We are looking to hire a qualified and compassionate Paediatric Nurse to provide high-quality nursing care to infants, children, and adolescents.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring patient health, administering treatments, supporting medical procedures, and providing education and emotional support to patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to paediatric patients in line with clinical standards.
  • Monitor, record, and report vital signs and changes in patients’ conditions.
  • Administer medications, injections, and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Assist doctors during examinations, procedures, and emergencies.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and nursing documentation.
  • Educate parents and caregivers on treatment plans, medication use, and child health management.
  • Ensure a safe, clean, and child-friendly environment at all times.
  • Respond promptly to medical emergencies and provide appropriate interventions.
  • Adhere strictly to infection prevention and control protocols.
  • Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals to deliver holistic care.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid practicing license.
  • Additional certification or proven experience in paediatrics is highly preferred.
  • 1–3 years of relevant nursing experience.
  • Strong knowledge of paediatric care principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle children with patience, empathy, and care.
  • Good organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • High level of professionalism and attention to detail.
