Job Description
- The Facility Officer is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance, and safety of the organization’s buildings and infrastructure. T
- he role involves coordinating repairs, managing service providers, and maintaining a safe and functional work environment.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of buildings, equipment, and utilities
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Conduct routine inspections and implement preventive maintenance plans
- Supervise vendors, contractors, and third-party service providers
- Manage facility-related budgets and control costs
- Coordinate cleaning, security, and waste management services
- Respond to facility issues and emergencies in a timely manner
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and service activities
- Ensure proper functioning of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems
Qualification
- Minimum of OND / HND / B.Sc. in Engineering, Estate Management, Facility Management, or related field
Other Requirements:
- High level of integrity and professionalism
- Ability to work under pressure and handle emergencies
- Flexibility to work outside regular hours when required
- Strong commitment to safety and regulatory compliance
