Human Resources Officer (Hotel)

Job Summary
- The HR Officer in a hotel is responsible for managing employee-related functions including recruitment, staff welfare, performance management, compliance, and fostering a positive workplace culture that enhances guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Onboarding:
- Coordinate recruitment processes (job postings, screening, interviews)
- Conduct onboarding and orientation for new hires
- Ensure proper documentation of employee records
Employee Relations:
- Serve as the first point of contact for staff concerns and grievances
- Promote a positive work environment and team engagement
- Handle disciplinary procedures in line with company policy
Training & Development:
- Identify training needs across departments (front office, housekeeping, F&B, etc.)
- Organize staff training programs (customer service, compliance, safety)
- Monitor employee growth and development plans
Performance Management:
- Support performance appraisal processes
- Track employee KPIs and productivity
- Work with department heads to improve staff performance
Payroll & Compensation Support:
- Assist in payroll preparation and processing
- Manage leave records, attendance, and shift schedules
- Ensure accuracy of employee benefits and compensation
Compliance & Policy Implementation:
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and hotel policies
- Maintain HR policies and update employee handbook
- Support audits and regulatory inspections
Staff Welfare & Engagement:
- Plan employee engagement activities and welfare programs
- Address workplace safety, health, and well-being issues
- Foster a service-oriented culture aligned with hospitality standards
HR Administration:
- Maintain employee records and HR databases
- Prepare HR reports (turnover, absenteeism, etc.)
- Handle exit processes and documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- 2–5 years HR experience (preferably in hospitality)
