Operations Manager

Description
- We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Operations Manager to oversee and coordinate all operational activities at our Lagos office.
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for personnel management, effective utilization and maintenance of equipment—including trucks and heavy-duty equipment—and driving business growth through sourcing new contracts and leads.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations and ensure smooth running of all activities within the Lagos office
- Manage and supervise all personnel, ensuring discipline, productivity, and alignment with organizational goals
- Coordinate workforce planning, task allocation, and performance monitoring
- Ensure proper management, maintenance, and accountability of all equipment and assets, including trucks and heavy-duty equipment
- Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency and service delivery
- Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities, contracts, and partnerships
- Maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders to support business growth
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
- Prepare and submit regular operational and performance reports to Management
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field
- 5–8 years’ experience in operations management or a similar role
- Strong leadership and personnel management skills
- Proven experience in managing trucks and heavy-duty equipment
- Proven experience in business development and contract sourcing
- Good understanding of equipment and asset management
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
