Experienced Accountant

Job Summary
- The Accountant will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring accurate reporting, maintaining compliance with statutory requirements, and supporting sound financial decision-making across the organization.
- This role requires a highly experienced accounting professional with strong knowledge of corporate accounting, project-based accounting, and operational finance within construction, engineering, or related industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and ledgers.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes.
- Oversee payroll preparation and staff reimbursements.
- Perform bank reconciliations and cash flow management.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations (VAT, PAYE, WHT, Company Income Tax).
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
- Monitor project cost tracking and expense allocations.
- Liaise with auditors and support external audit processes.
- Ensure proper documentation of all financial transactions.
- Provide financial reports and insights to management.
Requirements (Strict – Non-Negotiable)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Professional certification is an advantage (ICAN, ACCA preferred).
- 4–7 years of proven accounting experience (mandatory).
- Experience in construction, engineering, manufacturing, or project-based environment is highly required.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, ERP systems).
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- High level of integrity and confidentiality.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities.
