Job Description
- The Loan Recovery Officer is responsible for managing overdue accounts and ensuring timely repayment of loans.
- The role focuses on engaging customers, understanding their challenges, and applying effective recovery strategies to minimize losses while maintaining positive customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Contact customers with overdue loans via calls, messages, or approved communication channels.
- Follow up consistently on delinquent accounts to ensure payments are made.
- Educate customers on the importance of repayment and consequences of non-payment.
- Negotiate repayment within company policies (no unauthorized restructuring).
- Track and monitor customer payment behavior and update records accurately.
- Escalate high-risk or unresponsive customers according to company procedures.
- Maintain professionalism and use a “soft touch” approach during all interactions.
- Meet assigned recovery targets and performance metrics.
- Document all interactions and actions taken on customer accounts.
Requirements
- Interested candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree / HND / NCE / OND / SSCE qualification.
Salary
N100,000 - N200,000 / month.
