HR Specialist
Location: Benin, Edo
Employment Type: Full-time.
Job Summary
- The HR Specialist is responsible for managing and executing human resources functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training, and HR compliance.
- This role ensures smooth HR operations and supports the overall organizational strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer HR policies, procedures, and programs in line with company guidelines
- Coordinate recruitment, including job postings, interviews, selection, and onboarding
- Manage employee records and maintain HR databases accurately
- Support performance management processes, including appraisals and feedback
- Assist in the development and delivery of training and development programs
- Address employee relations issues and provide guidance to management and staff
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulatory requirements
- Conduct HR reporting and prepare HR metrics for management
- Support employee engagement initiatives and retention strategies
- Assist with payroll coordination, benefits administration, and leave management.
Educational Qualifications
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- Professional HR certification (e.g., CIPM, SHRM-CP, or equivalent) is an advantage.
Experience:
- 2–5 years experience in a human resources role
- Experience in recruitment, employee relations, and HR operations
- Previous experience in the healthcare or service industry is an added advantage.
Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge of HR principles and labor laws
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Good negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills.
