Job Summary
- The English Teacher is responsible for delivering engaging and effective instruction in English language and literature.
- The role involves developing students’ reading, writing, speaking, and critical thinking skills while fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver well-structured English lessons aligned with the curriculum
- Teach grammar, vocabulary, literature, and writing skills
- Assess and evaluate students’ progress through assignments, tests, and exams
- Provide constructive feedback to support student improvement
- Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment
- Encourage student participation and critical thinking
- Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, and classroom activities
- Manage classroom behavior effectively
- Communicate with parents/guardians about student progress when necessary
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and school events.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a related field
- TRCN certificate (added advantage)
- Proven experience teaching English
- Strong command of the English language (spoken and written)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to engage and motivate students
- Good classroom management skill.
