Male QC Officer

Job Summary
- The QC Officer is responsible for ensuring that all raw materials, in-process products, and finished flexible (nylon) packaging products meet defined quality standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements.
- The role ensures consistent product quality across extrusion, printing, cutting, and sealing processes.
Key Responsibilities
Raw Material Inspection:
- Inspect incoming raw materials such as polyethylene (PE), masterbatch, additives, and inks.
- Verify supplier specifications and ensure compliance with company standards.
- Reject or quarantine substandard materials.
In-Process Quality Control:
- Monitor production processes including:
- Blown film extrusion
- Printing (flexographic/gravure)
- Cutting and sealing
- Conduct routine checks on:
- Thickness (micron consistency)
- Width and length accuracy
- Seal strength
- Print quality (registration, color matching, smudging)
- Ensure adherence to production parameters and SOPs.
Finished Product Inspection:
- Perform final inspection of nylon packaging products before dispatch.
- Ensure products meet customer specifications (size, strength, clarity, branding).
- Approve or reject finished goods based on quality standards.
Testing & Measurement:
- Use quality testing equipment such as:
- Micrometer / Thickness gauge
- Tensile strength tester
- Dart impact tester
- Weighing scales
- Record and analyze test results accurately.
Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain proper quality control records and reports.
- Document non-conformances and corrective actions.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly quality reports.
Compliance & Standards
- Ensure compliance with internal quality standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., SON standards).
- Enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and hygiene standards.
- Support ISO quality management systems (if applicable).
Defect Control & Continuous Improvement:
- Identify defects such as:
- Holes, uneven thickness, contamination
- Poor sealing, weak film strength
- Printing defects (blur, misalignment)
- Work with production teams to implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Suggest improvements to reduce waste and increase efficiency.
Salary
N200,000 per month.
