Job Summary
- Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and quality-driven professional to join its Production team as a Quality Control Associate. This role serves as the final checkpoint in the production process, ensuring that all garments meet the company’s quality standards.
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting products, identifying defects, and supporting continuous improvement in production quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Conducting thorough inspections of garments at various stages of production, assessing stitching, finishing, sizing, and overall construction.
- Identifying and reporting defects such as fabric damage, uneven dye patterns, incorrect trims, poor workmanship, or missing labels.
- Monitoring dyed fabrics to ensure consistency with approved colour and pattern standards.
- Communicating identified issues promptly to the dye and production teams for correction.
- Maintaining accurate records of quality checks, defects, and inspection outcomes.
- Preparing and sharing regular reports highlighting recurring issues and production trends.
- Providing timely feedback to tailors, dyers, and production staff to address quality concerns.
- Supporting troubleshooting and recommend solutions to prevent recurring defects.
- Performing final checks to ensure garments are properly pressed, labelled, and packaged according to brand standards.
- Identifying opportunities for process improvement to enhance production efficiency and quality.
- Performing other related duties to support overall production operations.
Person Specifications
- Bachelor’s degree, HND, or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum of 5 years’ work experience.
- At least 3 years’ experience in a production role within a fashion or manufacturing environment.
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills.
- Good documentation and reporting abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines.
Salary
N3,500,000 – N7,000,000 per year.
