Are you an experienced accountant with a solid understanding of manufacturing and plant finance?
Emzor Pharmaceutical Industries Limited, a household name in Nigeria with over 40 years of excellence, is seeking a Plant Accountant to oversee plant-level accounting, costing, inventory control, and financial reporting. The role provides accurate financial insights that support operational efficiency, compliance, and informed decision-making within the manufacturing plant.
Key Responsibilities
✅ Inventory Management: Monitor WIP, finished goods, and scrap; reconcile physical stock with ERP records.
✅ Financial Reporting: Maintain accurate books for plant operations and prepare performance reports.
✅ Cost Control: Track actual vs. budgeted costs, investigate variances, and lead cost-reduction initiatives.
✅ Operations Support: Partner with production and supply chain teams to optimize pricing and efficiency.
✅ Compliance: Maintain internal controls and SOPs, ensuring timely closing of plant accounts.
✅ Asset Tracking: Monitor inter-organizational stock transfers and conduct regular spot checks.
Requirements
✅ Bachelor’s degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
✅ Minimum of 3 years’ experience in plant or manufacturing accounting.
✅ Professional qualification (ICAN or ACCA) is a significant advantage.
✅ Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems.
✅ Strong analytical skills with a focus on accuracy and problem-solving.
