Senior Accountant

Job Description
- We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant with strong expertise in Trade Finance to join our finance team.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee all financial accounting operations of the organization
- Handle trade finance transactions including Letters of Credit (LC), Bills for Collection, and Bank Guarantees
- Liaise with banks and financial institutions on import/export financing and documentation
- Ensure proper documentation and compliance with international trade regulations and policies
- Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and reconciliations
- Monitor cash flow, working capital, and foreign exchange transactions
- Ensure accurate recording of trade-related transactions in the accounting system
- Conduct financial analysis and provide insights for business decision-making
- Ensure compliance with tax laws, accounting standards, and internal controls
- Support audits (internal and external) and ensure timely resolution of audit queries
- Supervise and guide junior accounting staff
- Identify areas for cost reduction and process improvement
Requirements
- Minimum of B.Sc/ Masters . in Accounting, Finance,
- Professional certification (ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent) is an added advantage
- Minimum of 5+ years experience in accounting, with strong focus on trade finance
- In-depth knowledge of Letters of Credit (LC), import/export documentation, and banking processes
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, tax regulations, and compliance
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
