Description

• A hotel receptionist (also called a front desk officer) is the first point of contact for guests and plays a key role in creating a positive first impression of the hotel.
• A hotel receptionist manages guest arrivals, bookings, and inquiries while ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience at the front desk.

Key Responsibilities

• Guest check-in and check-out: Welcomes guests, confirms reservations, and processes arrivals and departures.
• Handling reservations: Takes bookings via phone, email, or in person and updates the system.
• Customer service: Assists guests with inquiries, requests, and complaints.
• Answering calls and emails: Provides information about rooms, prices, and hotel services.
• Managing front desk operations: Keeps records of room occupancy and coordinates with housekeeping.
• Billing and payments: Prepares invoices and processes payments when needed.

Daily Tasks:

• Greeting guests on arrival
• Checking room availability
• Assigning rooms and issuing keys
• Responding to guest requests
• Coordinating with other departments
• Maintaining guest records

Qualifications

• Minimum of SSCE; diploma in Hospitality is an advantage
• Experience in customer service or front desk work
• Basic computer knowledge.

Salary

N60,000 / month.
